Watch: This Deleted Duterte Interview Video Could Help Him Win in 2016!

An interview video to Mayor Rody Duterte reveals his platform to change the Philippines for the better if he is elected as president in 2016. But according to a concerned Facebook user, the said video uploaded on Facebook by a local broadsheet has been deleted, suggesting that it is something “they don’t want people to see.” Watch the full, unedited version of the video below.

“Philippine Star deleted this video 1 hour after it went viral and by miracle naiwan pala sa phone ko yung buong video. Noong nalaman ko na inalis yung 12 mins video I recorded it immediately for Filipino People to see.” Joanna Allas-Fojas wrote as a caption to the video this Monday, December 14, 2015, adding that this will show Duterte’s sincerity to serve the country.

VIDEO: Duterte to Pacquiao: Name corrupt agencies or I’ll campaign against you

by

President Rodrigo Duterte challenged Sen. Manny Pacquiao on Monday to name corrupt government agencies or else he would tell the people not to vote for him in the 2022 national elections.

“Pacquiao keeps on talking about how we [the current administration] is three times more corrupt [the previous administration],” Duterte said, speaking partly in Filipino, during his taped weekly Palace briefing on the COVID-19 situation.

“So I am challenging him: Point those offices that are corrupt. And let me take care of it. Within one week, I will do something,” he went on. “You have said nothing all these years, but you were all praises for me. Then now you say [we’re] corrupt. Where’s the corruption? Which offices?”

WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Duterte admitted the Department of Public Works and Highways had gained “notoriety” for corruption, but he said he saw no longer saw other corrupt agencies.

“If you fail to do that, I will campaign against you because you are not doing your duty. Do it because, if not, I will just tell the people: Do not vote for Pacquiao because he is a liar,” Duterte said.

“I am not questioning your ability, intellectually or what,” he went on. “But if you can’t do that, I will be after you every day. I will expose you as a liar. I put you on notice: I will tell all [.about you] and I will go against you during the election period. If you don’t do that, you’ll just be another son of a bitch playing some politics.”

The president noted that every administration would always have a “share of the problem of corruption.”

“Do not ever think that if you will win as president, corruption will disappear here in the Pilipinas,” Duterte told Pacquiao, who is the acting president of their party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan.

This was not the first time Duterte chided Pacquiao. Previously, he told Pacquiao to “study first” after the latter criticized his stance on the West Philippine Sea issue.

Pangulong Duterte, sobrang nagalit sa sinapit ng 1-year-old na bata — Panelo

Pangulong Duterte, sobrang nagalit sa sinapit ng 1-year-old na bata — Panelo

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte is “outraged” by the rape and killing of a one-year-old boy, whose body was later found in Makati, Malacañang said on Thursday.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, who described the crime as “barbaric”, said Duterte was angered upon hearing the news.

“The tragic news has reached the attention of the President and he, like all Filipinos, has been extremely outraged by this heinous criminal act,” Panelo said in a statement.

Panelo, meanwhile, hailed the Philippine National Police (PNP) for the arrest of the suspect, 28-year-old Gerald Reparip, who owned up to the crime.

PNP said the suspect will be made to take a test to determine illegal drug use.

“Given the atrocity of this felony, investigation is also being undertaken to determine whether the suspect is under the influence of drugs,” Panelo said.

If proven that the suspect was indeed acting under the influence of drugs, Panelo said this should serve as a sign that the drug war should be beefed up.

“Siyempre ipapaimbestiga natin at lalong papaigtingin natin siguro ‘pag nalaman natin na kagagawan na naman ‘yan ng mga nasa droga (Of course, we will have that investigated and we will strengthen the drug war once we find out it is caused by illegal drugs),” Panelo said in a Palace briefing.

He also assured the public that authorities will bring justice to the young boy and his family.

Reports showed that Reparip admitted to raping the victim before eventually choking him to death.

The child’s body was later found by his grandmother on the 7th floor of an abandoned building along Yakal Street in San Antonio, Makati City.
The suspect admitted to being under the influence of alcohol. (PNA)

READ: Nograles: Impeaching Duterte not a crime, but threatening him is

by
READ: Nograles: Impeaching Duterte not a crime, but threatening him is

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles clarified on Wednesday that filing impeachment raps against President Rodrigo Duterte is not a crime, but threatening the Chief Executive is.

“If you are threatening the President to some sort of action, and then you threaten him with an impeachment complaint. The mere fact it is a threat, if it goes to the realm of the threatening, then it is criminal in nature,” Nograles said.

“It is not the impeachment itself. Filing a impeachment is not a criminal. But threatening somebody, is.”

Critics of Duterte have pointed out the President may be impeached for failing to protect the country’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) after he said China can fish there.

Article 12 Section 2 of the 1987 Constitution states that “The State shall protect the nation’s marine wealth in its archipelagic waters, territorial sea, and exclusive economic zone, and reserve its use and enjoyment exclusively to Filipino citizens."

Malacañang said the provision in the Constitution should be taken in relation to Duterte’s presidential mandate "to serve and protect the people," noting that the country’s claim in the West Philippine Sea might trigger a devastating war against China.

This currently addresses grievances which deals with government bureaucracy, such as red tape, corruption and complexities of government processes,” he added. The new television program will feature case studies taken from the PCC and 8888 files as well as highlight a government agency per week about its daily work. Radio-TV Malacañang (RTVM) is likewise expected to produce a regular segment titled “The Week That Was” showing the President’s activities for the week. In 2016, the government launched the 24-hour 8888 citizens’ complaint hotline to accept grievances and other concerns about any red tape, corruption and other abuses involving government agencies. Under Executive Order No. 6 signed by the President, the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center was also established under the direction and supervision of the Civil Service Commission. It is mandated to deliver concrete and specific action to a citizen’s concern within 72 hours from receipt of the complaint. The Presidential Complaint Center, on the other hand, is considered the frontline desk of the Office of the President that serves as a liaison unit to state agencies on requests for assistance, information and grievances. The center, located at the Bahay Ugnayan in Malacañang, entertains public concerns through calls, letters, emails, and visits.
