In an aim to escape her furious employer, a Filipina domestic helper in Morocco decided to jump from the 3 floor of an apartment building resulting in her demise.
According to the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli Charge d’ Affaires Elmer Cato, the Filipina acquired severe injuries after jumping from the building in Casablance. They allegedly had an altercation with her employer.
Cato added that the 49-year-old OFW tried to escape her employer through the use of pieces of garments that she tied together. The local authorities in Morocco took the OFW’s employer as the investigation takes place.
Members of the Consulate was already sent to coordinate with local authorities and prepare the repatriation of the victim’s remains. Cato said that two members of the consular, Arcel Donato and LacsonCasim, already went to Casablanca.
Additionally, Cato claims that the household worker “was recruited in the Philippines for a job in Dubai but ended up in Morocco instead.”

The Filipina domestic helper is a mother of two and hails from Isabela. The identity of the woman was hidden as per the likes of her family.
