Because we have this notion that men do not easily admit their mistakes, we also have this idea that they are truly sincere once they regret the wrong things they did. This is the case with Facebook user Prince Lalic who confessed the sins that he committed against his pregnant girlfriend.
Online users commended Prince for his bravery in admitting that he was a horrible boyfriend to his girlfriend who was carrying their first child. Getting her pregnant outside of marriage made Prince feel like he was careless. He confessed that he was once addicted to different vices and placed other priorities above his pregnant girlfriend. He failed to realize the intensity of the responsibility he was facing.
In his Facebook post, Prince confessed all the things he did wrong to her.
In the latter part of his post, Prince reached out to teenagers like him who is currently facing the same situation. He gave them an idea of what might happen if they don’t take building a family seriously.
“Sana sa lahat ng lalake dyan na kagaya ko, Magisip isip na kayo. Wag nyo na sanaintayin tamaan kayo ng karma. Wag nyo na sana intayin mawala pa yung taong nagmamahal sainyo ng sobra, Wag nyo na sana intayin na masira ang lahat lahat ng binuo nyo dahil lang sa saglit na kasiyahan. Tandaan nyo/natin. Lageng nasa huli ang pagsisisi, Wag natin hayaan na masawa sila at iwan tayo ng tuluyan dahil sa mga katarantaduhan at kagaguhan naten sa buhay. Hanggat buhay tayo, Pwedeng pwede naman magbago kung gugustuhin mo talaga.
At sana sa mga lalakeng patuloy sa pagiging “FUCKBOY” nila. Tigil nyo na yan, At kung may mabuo. Sana mga tol wag nyo takbuhan mga responsibilidad nyo. Ginusto nyo yane, Meron kayo pang pasok. Pero pag may nabuo wala na kayong mga bayag para panagutan to. Magbago na kayo hanggat may oras pa. Wag nyo na intayin sapakin kayong karma. Hindi naman buhay nyo nasisira.”
The soon-to-become a Daddy then shared his appreciation for having his own family.
“Sobrang sarap sa feeling ng may sarile ng pamilya. Alam ko sa ngayon wala pa akong sarileng pera para buhayin ang sarile kong pamilya. Pero sila ang inspirasyon ko para lalo ako magbuti sa pagaaral at makapagtapos agad.
Sobrang sarap sa feeling ng may tatawag sayong “DADDY” wala ng mas sasarap pa.”
With some positive remarks, many netizens applauded Prince for admitting to his shortcomings. They also appreciated the fact that he confessed his sins and was able to realize all of these before it was too late.
