In Thailand Transgender Women Have To Endure This Humiliation Just To Join the Army!

Thailand is known for having the highest number of gender reassignment surgeries conducted in the entire world. Many people from around the world travel to this country just to have their gender reassignment operations done without the stigma their home countries might have.

Thailand is also known for its annual military draft day. During this day, 21-year-old males are required to attend the yearly ‘lottery’ to know if they are qualified to join their country's armed forces.

But what happens when transgender women are summoned to the draft day?

According to a report by NBC News, transgender women are subjected to humiliating practices during the draft. Their treatment is made worse by how the Thai mainstream media portrays transgenders - colloquially referred to as 'ladyboys'.

According to NBC News, exemptions were made for physically and mentally unfit young males as their health conditions hinder their military performance.

The Thai Administrative Court also ordered transgender women to be exempted from this military obligation.

However, a transgender woman still has her genetic gender encrypted in her government IDs and legal documents. Because of this, transgender women are still summoned for the draft day to prove that they are not faking their status as a ‘ladyboy’.

This annual attendance is a seemingly stressful event for many transgender women.

NBC News reported that some of them felt embarrassed as they had to rip off their clothes to show their altered genitals. They have to do this in front of other Thai males who were also waiting for their eligibility to be confirmed.

This embarrassment caused deep depression among the transgender women, who were treated as a laughing stock during draft day.

Additionally, the Thai mainstreammedia contributes to the stigma against transgender women during the annual military draft day.

Transgender women claim that the mainstream media portray them in a humorous and humiliating way.

However, because they are obligated to present themselves before the military officers, they were left with no choice but to follow orders. Unfortunately, this embarrassing incident has caused some transgender women to commit suicide.

WATCH: The story of Robinsons Snake Man! Is this True??

According to the story, the snakeman had access to the mall’s CCTV cameras, and would spy on women in the dressing rooms. If he saw a woman he liked, he would flip a switch and the woman would drop through a hole in the floor, straight into his arms.

Actress Alice Dixon was once rumored to be among the snake’s almost-victims, and was allegedly paid a considerable amount to keep her silence.

In a speech Gokongwei-Pe gave in 2008 at the University of the Philippines’ School of Economics, she tackled the rumors, telling the graduating students:

“I have no idea who started this incredible story, but I have to tell you that some people believed it and even started staring at my legs to see if there were any signs of snakeskin. A few people still ask me about it, and I have to tell them na naging handbag na ho sa Robinsons Department Store.

“Thank goodness there was no Internet yet at that time, or you would start receiving photos of me with a snake’s body and my kakambal na snake with a woman’s legs,” she said.

In short the Robinsons Snake story is Hoax. It’s not true, even Alice Dixon denied it.

READ: Japan Opens First Restaurant that Offers Human Meat in Tokyo

After a decade of battles between lawmakers, Japan has finally decided to allow human meat consumption.

The world’s first restaurant that serves human meat legally is not open at Kichiba District in downtown Tokyo.

The restaurant named “Restorantu Ani Taberareru” [Edible Brother Restaurant], opened its doors to public and from customers all over the world on December 1, 2017. A similar restaurant is also opened in Yokohama yesterday bearing a different Japanese name “Resoto Ototo No Shoku Ryohin” but with the same English meaning.

According to the restaurant manager Yukihedi Otsuka, the price of menus ranges from $100 up to $2,500 per order of human flesh.

The very first customers, a Swedish couple, paid more than 7,000 euros to get an experience of a lifetime, said that the flavor is like pork.

“It’s similar to pork. It really depends on the recipe I guess. The grilled meat was like a pig belly, while the teriyaki was like goat meat. You can’t really tell if it’s something else”, the woman who refused to give her name said.

According to a source working in Japan’s Ministry of Health, people who are dying are donating their bodies for experiment, and if researchers are done with their jobs, the carcass will then be turned-over to the restaurant who have exclusive permits.

But it is not simple as many would think.

Only people who dies of natural calamities or accidents can be consumed. Those who dies because of illness can be sold to researchers, but not to restaurants.

The source said a healthy person who dies of shooting or stab wounds are the most expensive ones and their internal organs worth more than their actual body.

“Healthy heart, lungs, brain, and other intact internal organs worth more than the body as they can be transplanted to a live person”, the source said.
