We often see that nowadays children are playing with smartphones. Be it at home or out, or on any occasion, we notice that children play with smartphones. Also, there are some children who do not sleep without a phone. We are also aware that smartphones are harmful to children. Yet we do not do anything. So there has been an eye-opener for parents of such children.
A 4-year-old girl had to undergo eye surgery in Thailand, which is reported to be the cause of excessive smartphone use. Doctors said the girl’s eyesight had worsened. She could not see both eyes together, so her eyes did not function effectively. As a result, her eyesight was worse and her eyes were also tensed.
The girl’s father wrote a post on Facebook and said that while he was working, he started giving her 2-year-old daughter a smartphone to keep quiet. Shortly thereafter, health problems started to appear, but they did not immediately realize that all this was due to the overuse of the device.
She started with eye problems and then had to wear glasses. But the vision started to go slowly with her eyes, when she was 4 years old she had to undergo an operation because her vision was very bad. Slowly they need to realize that all this has happened due to the overuse of smartphones and allowing children to use excessive smartphones is very detrimental to the health of the children.
Although after the operation, the child could see with her own eyes, doctors advised that the child should be kept away from any such devices and do not even watch TV. Because the light from these devices damages the eyesight. Due to which the surgery has to be done.
The baby’s father has tried to alert all parents around the world by sharing the post on Facebook. So that what happened to their daughter does not happen to anyone else.
Doctors have stated that parents should not give children smartphones, and should consider what happens to children. We see many parents doing this by allowing them to use a smartphone or tablet to soothe their children’s bullying. But they have no idea how much this thing can do to their children’s health.
