Could Angeline Quinto be Regine Velasquez biggest look-a-like?

We all have idols. Celebrities or other personalities that we look up to. These are the people we grew up watching and dreaming to meet. Not everyone is given the chance to meet their idols. Most people only get to see their idols in concerts or on screen. Actress and singer, Angeline Quinto, on the other hand, meets her idol who becomes her close friend. She has always been open to how the Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez greatly impacted her career as a singer.

Recently, the younger songstress shocked many after she posted an edited photo of her and Regine’s faced merged into one.

Due to her eagerness to meet her idol, Angeline Quinto joined a competition in 2002 under Viva Television called “Star for the Night“. She admitted that the main reason for joining was because Regine Velasquez hosted the show. She was able to compete with known singers like Mark Bautista and Sarah Geronimo who bagged first place in the competition. Nine years later, Angeline rose to fame as the winner of the show, “Star Power: Search For The Next Female Pop Superstar“.

Over the years, she became one of her idol’s close friends. Angeline even greeted Regine on her birthday through an Instagram post. She expressed her gratefulness to the veteran singer by saying:

“Habang buhay po akong papalakpak at sisigaw sa tuwing kakanta at makikita ko kayo sa entablado.”.

Furthermore, Angeline defended Regine after being involved in an issue last March. Talks about the song bird losing her stardom not being as popular as in the past went around. Some even compared Angeline to Regine and tagged her as the next Asia’s Songbird. However, Angeline humbly disagreed saying that no one in the world can replace Regine Velasquez.
